Raw biogas contains carbon dioxide, CO2; hydrogen sulfide, H2S and Water H20 which are not good to store and transport. Scrubbing for or filtering out these requires different processes. While industrially-made filters can be purchased, filters can also be made quite simply. To scrub for Hydrogen Sulfide, it should come in contact with carbon (active carbon or sodium bicarbonate), oxygen (aeration) or react on a metal(shavings giving a large surface area). Scrubbing out water moisture is done with silica or similar. Scrubbing out carbon dioxide can be done with dry lye powder or if filtered through water bath.
